| A busy place serving three meals a day. Years were spent clearing the land “by hand” with the use of fire, dynamite and horses. Artists in residence contributed to the cultural program during the summers and offered a variety of classes. Rooms were decorated in world themes from many travels abroad. | | ||||||||||||||||||||

| The time came when the Swanson's had passed away. Chuck and Nola McCrary, Georgia natives purchased the land in May of 1999 with dreams of reconstruction and retirement in this beautiful corner of the United States. In addition to reconstructing the lodge they made repairs to the original farmhouse, built a large barn, added a pond and installed hydropower to the Lodge. | | ||||||||||||||||||||
